Lanier PDC is a variable data forms automation application that automates the printing, distribution, and storage of business documents. With Lanier PDC, organizations can control documents more effectively, reduce the risk of error, and eliminate expensive, time-consuming manual processing.

In a typical variable data forms application — processing a sales order, for example — a user may need to complete up to seven manual steps: print the form, burst and decollate it, send a copy to billing, send a separate copy to shipping, email a third copy to the sales representative, file a copy of the order internally, and fax an order confirmation to the customer.

Lanier PDC software streamlines variable data forms workflow. Users simply print their normal variable data job to Lanier PDC. Lanier PDC completes the rest of the steps automatically, sending the form everywhere it needs to go.

  • Intelligent form design. Lanier PDC replaces standard pre-printed and multi-part forms with a versatile electronic document. Within the document, intelligent zones can be set up which allow you to assign delivery destinations, create indexing fields, and start workflow processes.
  • Smart printing. Native Windows drivers ensure smooth connectivity to Lanier printers and MFPs. Users have full access to finishing and other features. Lanier PDC can distribute documents to any networked device for load balancing.
  • Seamless faxing. Fax features include load balancing, job and queue status, and delivery confirmation. Lanier PDC extracts destination information from the print stream or via a database lookup. Form intelligence automates cover page creation.
  • Automatic emailing. Destination addresses come directly from the print data stream or via a database lookup. Lanier PDC supports MAPI email systems, SMTP server email, and SSL email for secure transmission.
  • Unattended archiving. Lanier PDC interfaces with Lanier eCabinet and DocumentMall, allowing you to easily implement an electronic archive of your critical business documents within your existing network. Features include custom index fields and full text search within individual documents. Lanier PDC can also be set up to deliver documents to legacy document management applications.
